K-9 Dogs are back at UHS
Remember last year at this time when administration brought the K9 dogs to sniff out everything and anything you shouldn’t have at school?
Well they are back again!
A notification email was sent to students and families by Principal Jesse Guzman on March 7, informing them that a K9 sweep would be happening. During the first hour on Thursday March 13, the school implemented a “Soft Lockdown” as the K9 team swept the hallways.

Last year, many thought the sweeps were going to be ineffective, but Guzman states that since his notification email was sent out, there has been a decrease in the number of sensors going off in the bathrooms.
Admin believes that K9 sweeps are going to become an annual thing. “The plan is maybe more often next school year,” said Guzman.
