Staff homecoming spirit week winners

Last week was homecoming week, and a lot of people were having a blast getting to dress up for each spirit day. Not only did the students have fun dressing up, but staff members had their share of the fun as well as they competed to win “Best Dressed” for each day!

The themes that they made this year for homecoming week were Jersey Day on Monday, Student-Staff Swap Day on Tuesday, Kindergarten Self Day on Wednesday, Adam Sandler Day on Thursday, and Class Color Day on Friday.

Students and staff members were saying this was one of the best spirit weeks they have seen in recent memory, especially when it comes to staff participation.

This change has not gone unnoticed. Since last year, principal Jesse Guzman has encouraged staff to participate in Spirit Week by turning it into a contest. Each day, a different administrator served as a judge, choosing a few staff members to be recognized and win a prize.

Here are this year’s winners!
Jersey Day: Christopher Moller, Aimee Smith, Zach Sutton, and Kevin Kennedy
Student-Staff Swap Day: PE Department (Forrest Farokhi, Miki Kowalski, Ordell Walker, and Leandro Gonzalez)
Kindergarten Self Day: Tierra Brown and Amanda Perez-Rosser/Brittany Ward and Tamelyn Motley
Adam Sandler Day: Christopher Moller and Amanda Perez-Rosser (both for the second time!)
Class Color Day: Zachary Boehmke and Brianca Aguirre
