Welcome to the Jungle Homecoming
Urbana High School’s homecoming week is well underway and students are hyped about it.
Urbana High School junior Alyssa Andrews states, “I feel like homecoming this year is gonna be different, but I think the theme is cool, especially because it’s Welcome to the Jungle and our school mascot is the tigers.”
Though a lot of changes have happened at UHS recently, junior Aliyah Warren believes “…that homecoming this year isn’t gonna change, I feel like it’s gonna be the same as the previous year, but they might make it better” by having different games and more people participating in the pep assembly.
One of the best parts about homecoming is that all classes can participate. Sophomore Nazyra Reed says, “it’s a good advantage for the younger students. And it’s different from basic dances. It’s good because they change the theme every year.”
With this year’s new theme of Welcome to the Jungle, Urbana High School students are going to go wild.
