Dutch Team On A Roll At The Sochi Games
The Dutch add another speed skating medal on Sunday with the help of Ireen Wuest winning the Women’s 3000 meter race. Her winning time of 4:00.34 knocked off defending Olympic Champion Martina Sablikova who finished second with a time of 4:01.95 earning the Czech Republic a silver medal. In third place Olga Graf awarded Russia their first gold medal of the Sochi games.
Wuest is a three time Gold medalist earning gold in the 3000 at the Torino Olympics in 2006, the 1500 at Vancouver, and now the 3000 at Sochi.
