Wisteria Lane’s Looking a Little Desperate
During the fall season, many television shows premiere for the first time or they return for another season. Out of all the shows that came on, one suspenseful show caught my eye: The Desperate Housewives of Wisteria Lane.
It stars Eva Longoria-Parker, Terri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman, Marcia Cross, and Nicollette Sheridan as five married best friends who will protect their families and privacy at any cost. When I say anything, I mean anything from lying and wrecking cars, to saving lives and destroying them.
The best friends lean on each other for advice with their kids, husbands and jobs. Gabriella (Eva Longoria-Parker) has two kids and is married to a man named Carlos who was blind but now can see. His niece Samantha moves in with them, but doesn’t click too well with Gabby. Susan (Terri Hatcher) has two kids who just got remarried to her ex-husband Mike after stealing him from his fiancé. Lynette (Felicia Huffman) just found out she was pregnant again with twins and she already has four other kids. Bree (Marcia Cross) has two kids and is filing for divorce from her husband who is trying to blackmail her for money. Then there’s Edie (Nicolette Sheridan) who has one child and doesn’t know she married a man who is an ex-con artist and is out for revenge against one of the families. As Edie races against time to protect her friends, she never takes the time to think maybe she was in danger, too.
