Donate blood & save lives: UHS blood drive Tuesday
UHS Journalism is working with Impact Life to host a blood drive on Tuesday, April 25th.
Their goal is to improve on last year’s results, where students and staff donated enough blood to save 150 lives.
Junior Brooklyn Shipman volunteered at the Blood Drive last year and will be there again this year.
“I want to help people with what they need to improve their lives. I wanted to help those in need. I would want someone to do the same for me, so it was the least I could do,” she said.
Interested in donating and saving lives on April 25? Students and staff can sign up during lunch hours or with Ms. Tufano in room 2217.
Anyone wanting to donate must be at least 16 years of age or older. Donors who are 16 years old will need to have a signed parent permission slip in order to donate. All donors should make sure to eat before donating and to bring a photo ID.
There are only a limited amount of time slots available, so act fast!
Each donor will receive their choice of 20-can cooler tote or $10 gift card. Help save lives and donate blood!
