Should teens trick or treat?
Every year on October 31st, people dress up, go out, and visit other houses around their neighborhood to get candy. But how old is too old to go trick or treating?
Sophomore Faith Young doesn’t think there should be an age limit. “I feel teens should go if they want to go,” she says.
In many towns and cities in Illinois, the law is that you can’t trick or treat if you are older than 12, however, it is rarely enforced.
This is good news for teens who want to trick or treat, like sophomore Hailiegh Nugent who says, “It’s free candy, so why not [go]?”
“I feel that it is a privilege for kids and I feel that teens should have the same privileges and be able to,” says Eric Morrow, Student Interventionist.
It seems that at Urbana, teens are never too old for trick or treating.
