Athlete Spotlight: Kaylyn Johnston

This week’s Athlete of the Week is senior volleyball captain Kaylyn Johnston.

Johnston a four year varsity starter, attends the New Horizon Church, and participates in the youth group, Axis, there as well.

She is also the social media manager for the P7 Club here at Urbana High School. Outside of volleyball, Johnston loves hanging with friends from out of town, loves watching the movie Pitch Perfect, and listening to “Losing Control” by Russ.

After high school, Johnston will attend Gustavus Adolphus College to major in Exercise Physiology, and play volleyball, of course. As for even further in the future, Johnston says, “I would like to go to graduate school to become a pediatric physical therapist.”
