The Ball’s Family Drama Continues In UCLA Purge
It turns out that Liangelo’s decision to steal from a store was probably the best possible thing for the Ball family, as it gives them much attention from the media. Even the President of United States tweeted about the Ball family, earning Ball multiple spots on CNN.
This is the second time in 2017 that LaVar Ball has abruptly pulled one of his sons out of school. Earlier this year, he pulled out his youngest son, 16-year-old LaMelo Ball, from Chino Hills High School because of issues with first-year basketball coach, Dennis Latimore.
“I’m going to make him way better for the draft that UCLA ever could have,” Ball told ESPN’s Darren Rovell.
Now LiAngelo and his more famous younger brother, LaMelo, are looking to turn pro overseas. LiAngelo would not be seeking another college team, and would instead begin preparing for the NBA draft, according to LaVar Ball.
Fortunately, the family drama has not been affecting Lonzo Ball in his career with the Lakers. He says that “the drama was beginning to die down.” Whether it is completely over remains to be seen.
