Interact Club of Urbana High School Helps the Community
They are Urbana High School’s Interact Club.
Interact Club is part of the Champaign County Rotary, a group that brings people from the community to give back to the community.
Matthew Stark, Principal of Urbana High School and Interact Club sponsor states, “Interact Club is an opportunity to give back to the community and give the club some service hours.”
Alicia Trezise, school social worker and Interact Club sponsor describes all of the events Interact Club has done: “…we have hosted Parent-Teacher Conferences, gathered survey data from parents for use in the district, bell-ringing for Salvation Army, made comfort blankets…and our big community annual event The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service held on the MLK holiday.”
It may seem a lot of work, but if you are doing something you love, the time may flies by.
Paris Sharp, senior, says “Interact is not a very demanding club, it just takes one Wednesday every couple of weeks for about half an hour. You get a chance to interact (haha) with new people you usually wouldn’t and you get an opportunity for a really cool service project.”
“Basically, join Interact! Do it!”
Come on folks I know that you can post on this let’s do it
