The 2014-15 season for the Chicago Bears is one to be forgotten. After a dismal finish of 5-11 which led to the firing of both Head Coach, Mark Trestman and General Manager, Phil Emery allowing for the hiring of new head coach, John Fox. Many questions still lie in the air about the future of the Bears franchise. Both Jay Cutler, the starting quarterback, and the Bears defense have been a disappointment. Although these are both major issues, the most pressing question for all Bears fans is; Will John Fox be able to turn the Bears around?

After hiring new GM Ryan Pace, the Bears then focused all of their efforts on the head coaching position. Before Trestman, the Bears fired HC Lovie Smith who was fired despite finishing a solid season at 10-6. Despite this, the Bears have already been able to hire former Panthers and Broncos coach, John Fox. This new hire gives a glimmer of hope to Bears fans, because Fox has already taken both Carolina and Denver to the Super Bowl.

According to the Chicago Tribune, on top of the head coaching position the Bears have made even more changes to the coaching staff with the hiring of new defensive coordinator Vic Fangio and offensive coordinator Adam Gase.

“I believe that with all of these coaching changes the Bears will do nothing but get better” said Urbana High School Senior and Bears fan Evan Lovell, “I definitely have high hopes for next season.”

Bears fans are desperate for change as they are hoping for a much better finish to the season than the last two years. The complete renovation of the coaching staff is a major step taken by the Bears front office to help quench the thirst for wins in the next coming seasons.
