Updates in Case of Hannah Graham
Hannah Graham first went missing early of September. She is a student at University of Virginia.
The man who is the only suspect to be involved is 32-year-old man, named Jesse Matthew.
Past history of Matthew is being brought up. Since in 2002, he was being accused of sexual assault. In 2003 he was charged with it. Not even a year later they link him to another sexual assault case. During this whole time period, he was attending college at Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Virginia. Here he played football and when it go to campus he ended up quitting the team.
Following getting accused of the next case, in which he was not charged, ended up making his life long decision about dropping out of college.
In 2005, authorities released that he was charged with rape, sexual assault, and attempted capital murder. They are now looking more into this case due to the Graham case.
In 2009, another girl was set missing named Morgan Taylor, to this day no one has been charged with her murder, several other girls have gone missing since this time as well. Also in 2009 he was convicted of trying to steal a cell phone.
Around 2010, he was convicted of trespassing, but due to court record, they are not very clear and understandable. In 2012 he was charged with stolen property, currently there is nothing about these charges.
In-between all of these, they have found minor traffic offenses to.
Now, in 2014 he is being charged with abduction of Hannah Graham. Videos at public places have shown that Matthew was the last person seen with her, after she left a public party on campus that evening of the 13th. He was then brought in for questioning, and got released and fled town. Now being held in custody as of the 24th of September, with no bond.
Recently in the news, they confirmed the body of Graham was found in a place called “Teardrop Hill” just miles away from where Matthew’s mother used to live. This place also happens to be just around five miles away from where Morgan Taylors body was found.
