Derrick Rose Returns to Chicago Bulls
Derrick Rose is alternating his starting position with Kyrie Irving (Cleveland Cavaliers point guard). Derrick Rose is averaging 5.4 points per game in the Fiba World Cup.
Urbana High School Senior Ernest Kenner said, “I was very excited. It felt very humbling to see my favorite player back.”
I also interviewed another senior, Andre Stephens, and he said, “I was happy you know, and then when he dunked I was like, ‘Aye, Derrick’s back!’ I was excited, it gave me hope for the Bulls.”
The things these two students said really showed how his fans stayed loyal to him and how he gained more fans even though he missed two seasons. People could have easily given up on him but instead they had faith in him.
Derrick Rose will always be a great player despite the two knee injuries in the past two seasons. Although it will be a difficult comeback for him mentally, physically his body is one hundred percent ready. Even though he was out two seasons his fans still had faith in him. I don’t think Derrick Rose should have played U.S.A. basketball because he is risking getting injured again.
UHS Students look forward to watching Derrick Rose play again during the regular season. I’m happy for the Chicago Bulls organization to get their player back. This will be a very good season for them. The expectations are very high for Rose this year, but we will all have to wait and see how it all plays out.
