Dancing With The Stars Names Winners
Olympic ice dancer Meryl Davis and her professional dance partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy were named Dancing With The Stars’ Season 18 champions on Tuesday, May 20.
Davis, who won a gold medal with partner Charlie White in Sochi earlier this year, received high scores throughout the season and was clearly a front runner from the start.
The popular ABC show had its share of controversy this season — many questioning the decision to allow Davis and White to compete, considering their clear advantage.
Paralympic athlete Amy Purdy (partnered with Derek Hough) and actress Candace Cameron-Bure (partnered with Mark Ballas) placed second and third, respectively.
Romance rumors, controversial guest judges, and an ample amount of injuries made for an exciting season. The show will return sometime later this year.
