Effects of Social Media
Such as Facebook, teenagers in high school have more than 1,000 friends, more than 600 followers on Twitter and maybe the same thing on Tumblr. Facebook people add people who are mutual friends or even people who just so happen to “think” they may know. Also, on Twitter there is things such as “Fandoms” and they are girls who are all in groups like “Beliebers, (Justin Bieber) Mahomies, (Austin Mahone) Swifties, (Taylor Swift) Selenators, (Selena Gomez) Arianators, (Ariana Grande) Katy cats, (Katy Perry) Lilmonsters, (Lady Gaga), Directioners (One Direction).
Teens tend to follow people online and become friends with them when they only have one thing in common and that can be what fandom they are in.
With all the new TV shows that come out as well, dealing with people meeting online and start dating or even getting to the point where they become so close and something serious ends up happening to them.
Social media websites end up taking over people’s lives by controlling what type of person they become. The simple fact that they get so close to people, start dating or trying to have long distance relationship takes up a part of someone’s attention and time. The simple way that they are always on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter. Some people even get to the point where they start talking like “lol, (:”
With the websites, Christian Mingle, eHarmony, Match.com, farmersonly.com and other websites along those lines make some people see this as a way to meet and start dating new people; it makes them nonsocial. If they see that it is okay to be hidden behind the face of a computer and not go out and try to meet people around their community it will get ahold of them and wreak them for any future life experiences.
Another way that social networking sites can control a person’s life can be seen when they post every little thing they do on Facebook and get comments, like everyone wants to know what they do. The average person posts doesn’t post everyday before they get into a relationship with a person. But, when they meet a person they post so many posts to see that the person they “like” can possibly see them and give them the attention they want.
People also tend to post every time they are with that person, or even post a picture with them. In some way or another they let social media control their life because they let it come between their actual lives.
We do not know why people do this or why it happens. We just see that it is an everyday thing that people are always on their phone and somehow, so way let it affect how they are as a person.
Hurrah! At last I got a blog from where I be able to really obtain helpful facts regarding my study and knowledge.
