Violence in the Ukraine Makes Headlines
With the Sochi Olympics beginning the protests, in Ukraine have begun to get worse. The protesters’ are wanting the Ukraine government to start turning away from Russia as an economic ally.
The protests started in November and seem to have been getting worse and more violent from then.
On Tuesday February 20, things took a turn for the worst. The police opened fire on the anti-government left more than 25 dead.
After a truce made the following Wednesday the gunfire started again leaving roughly 100 dead and around 500 more injured.
The Ukrainian government has not released any more information aside from that one officer was killed in the crossfire.
