USA Bobsled Team Ends Medal Drought
The U.S. two man Bobsled team snapped a 62 year old drought by winning bronze in the event with the help of Steve Holcomb and Steve Langton. The last time the U.S. medaled in the event was in 1952 at the olympics held in Helsinki, FInland.
The U.S. sled finished third behind Russia winning gold, and the Swiss team receiving the silver. Russia put on a dominant show on their home track beating the Swiss by a large margin of 0.66.
Holcomb and Langton are no strangers to ending droughts, ironically ending another 62 year old medal-less stretch in the four man sledding event by winning Gold in Vancouver four years ago.
