Gesi Muharremi Signs Letter of Intent With Parkland College

On Monday, February 10th at 2:30 p.m., senior soccer player Gesi Muharremi signed his letter of intent to play for the Parkland Cobras.

Muharremi, who has only been at Urbana for two years, has had a great deal of success playing soccer here.

He help lead the team to the top of the Big 12 conference and the playoffs two years in a row and helped them place second in state.

Last the Cobras enjoyed a great season and are looking to have yet another with the acquisition of Muharremi. The head coach of the Cobras said during they signing that they were very excited to get a player of his, Muharremi’s, caliber in their team.

Muharremi didn’t have much to say as he is normally a very quiet and humble person but he explained how he owed his success to his teammates.

Muharremi said, “I would like to thank my teammates for pushing to make me better every time I was on the field.”

Muharremi is planning to spend his offseason playing more soccer and trying to prepare himself for the collegiate level. UHS Students and Staff would also like to thank Muharremi for his two years playing for the Tigers and we wish him the best of luck in his collegiate career
