Sister Wives
“Sister Wives” is a reality TV show about a family of polygamists on TLC. The main character in the show is Kody Brown; he is married to four women named Janelle, Meri, Christine and Robyn. All together, they have 16 children.
Recently in the news Brown has stated that he wants another wife, but when interviewed on the season finale, he stated that he didn’t want one.
“No, I’m not interested in a fifth wife,” he said, before explaining that that’s not exactly a firm no. “Here’s the thing you need to understand: I’m not interested in a fifth wife, and we don’t go looking for it.” He told NBC news
“I do [watch the show], it is something to watch and neat to see how someone else lives,” said Secretary Linda Murphy
People believe that the way their life is “disgusting” and “gross”. They all live on the same block, with their children, and every night he goes from house to house. He has a close relationship with all wives and also his children.
“It’s believable to understand that it’s real because children are involved, but if there was just the four wives, I wouldn’t believe it,” said Secretary Linda Murphy.
If you really watch the show, you can tell that the wives are very jealous of one another. In front of the camera they say they aren’t, but when you pay attention and watch how they interact and talk, it is noticeable that they all have a problem with it.
When the season finale aired, it was one of the top shows watched over the premiere weekend.
Murphy said, “I believe it was the number one watched show because people are interested in their lifestyle and how the women actually do that,”
If they’re happy with how they live, then that’s on them. It’s their right to be able to do that, even though others don’t agree with it. They are married for themselves, not to please other people. Most viewers believe that marriage should be between a man and a woman, not a man and four women. However, if they’re happy like that and they love each other, that’s all that should matter.
