Start of the NFL Season
The National Football League (NFL) season has started yet again, and fans all around the world are craving more and more each week, including those at Urbana High School.
The diversity of the football fans throughout the world is particularly incredible, especially in UHS. The students that go to UHS vary in all different ways for their loyalty to whatever team they like.
Junior Cedrick Fry, football player and fan, said, “I’m really excited for the Super Bowl this season.”
The majority of students in UHS are Chicago Bears fans, because that is the only NFL team in the state. However, that does not deteriorate from the diversity. There are many different kinds of fans, varying from the Minnesota Vikings all the way to the West Coast Oakland Raiders.
Other people in UHS have other sports on their minds, like baseball or hockey. This really helps show the diversity between all sports in UHS.
Sophomore Sylvia Maehr said, “I don’t really watch much football. I like baseball a lot more.”
All in all, fans are extremely excited for the NFL season to be back in session and they are loving the competitive feeling that it brings to all fans worldwide.
