Homecoming Dresses: What’s In Style?
Homecoming is just around the corner and everyone is wondering what the new dress style for 2013 is!
The dresses for the year have changed from last year’s style. The look attracts tons of teen girls-as it should. The dresses are knee to fingertip length. The top part of the dress is usually bejeweled with studs or glitter of some sort, but the bottom of the dress is bigger in size. It goes out kind of like a tutu would, but a little longer. The bottom usually has three to four layer and most of the time has some kind of sparkle to it.
Most people are loving the new look. Short dresses are very popular nowadays and the colors that are coming out really make the dresses stand out. Hearing people talk about the new style of dresses makes it seem like there is tons of love for the new style.
Kristen Campbell a sophomore at Urbana High School said, “The new dresses this year are interesting, but very cute.”
Not everyone loves the new style of the dresses. Some people think the dresses are too short. Also, criticism can also be heard that the dresses have way too much of a color mixture in them, or that there is just way too much going on in the dress.
Emily Pittman, a sophomore at Urbana High School said, “The new homecoming dresses are ok, but they aren’t the best look. Some of them are kind of short.”
All in all, many students are talking about the new 2013 homecoming dress styles, and there are going to be tons of great looks this year at the Tiger Homecoming!
