Update on Kony

Kony was big in the news back in 2012. Ever since April 2012, you’ve really haven’t heard anything else about Kony.

I myself found the email of someone who I could interview and ask him questions about getting updated about what is going on there, and what they have done to help get more people aware.

“Schools have effect 9,300 children we’ve had about 1,238 people go there and tour the place to see if they see anything, we’ve also had about 926 local lobby meetings.” said Juan Frausto Social Media Intern.

On March 5th, 2013, they released an update on Kony 2012 and how it was accomplished. Also what they have planned for 2013.

On January 15th of 2013, President Obama signed a bill saying that Kony should be captured. Ever since then, they have built three radio stations in Africa; they have expanded on The Early Radio Station. They have dropped flyers from planes to warn people about Kony. By doing that, they have gotten 30 LRA army mean captured, also they have gotten more safety around those regions.

Ever since 2012, LRA killings have decreased by 67 percent. Also tow out of five of the biggest LRA commanders are off of the battlefield. Also, Invisible Children has also made a rehabilitation center for children who have been kidnapped or their families have been killed by the LRA.

They want a permanent end to Kony. They want it all over, but most of all, they want Kony to be captured. They still have 450,000 people who can’t safety return home. And about 200 LRA fighters.
