Book Review: Beautiful Disaster
Abby Abernathy goes off to college to get away from her past with her best friend America, she soon realizes that she wont be able to escape it entirely. Travis Maddox is the guy that every girl in school wants to get with and… well probably already has. Travis is an underground fighter who gets money to help pay for his apartment with his roommate Shepley, who Shepley met America and now are together as a couple. Throughout the novel, Abby tries to keep distance from Travis and it only pulls him in even more. One little thing gets them to really see each other for who they really are. When one blast from Abby’s past arrives, it turns everything around, not in anyone’s favor except Travis. When realizing they absolutely can’t live without each other everything in the end turns out to be… well read the book and find out for yourself!

In short, Beautiful Disaster was a well written, heart wrenching book, and for those who have read the book, a sequel called Walking Disaster is coming soon. Prepare yourself for more epic events between Abby, America, Shepley, and Travis. Jamie McGuire wrote a beautiful love story, that won’t let you put it down. It may even make you cry if you are a sucker for sappy love stories.
