How to Beat Anger
Anger is a strong feeling of annoyance, displeasure and hostility. Anger can take over a person, potentially acting as diminutive for a short period of time, or massive for a longer time.
Anger often leads a person to make very bad decisions and take negative actions. Anger isn’t a feeling that randomly comes over in a person, something usually causes it and it could be something simple or major, examples include:
Threat- When someone you love or something you adore is threatened, the best way to avoid the anger of being threatened is to avoid the fear that allows you to get angry in the first place.
Fear- when one is afraid of something, that fear has the potential to make them angry, and a way to avoid this is to replace fear with love, happiness and positive thoughts.
Egoism-When you have a lot of confidence in yourself and some cockiness, it will bother you and potentially make you angry when someone criticizes you. To avoid this anger, try looking at yourself from a different point of view and see someone else’s perspective.
Injustice- when something unjust or irritating takes place, especially in politics, anger has a tendency to rise in a person. But don’t get angry; make a change.
Personal- many personal problems occur in life. It might be family problems or school problems that could make a person angry. This anger is extremely complicated and it takes more than a simple resolution to get over it, but you can always find a way to deal with it by looking at the bright side or finding something that brings some type of happiness.

Senior Patricia Mixon said, “I usually go jogging and exercises a lot when I’m angry because I don’t want to do anything I might regret.”
“When I’m angry, I get violent and I usually don’t remember what happens,” said freshman Ta’Darriona Hite.
There are many ways to deal with and prevent anger. Although it might be hard, try these steps and see how it goes.
1. Take a time out.
2. Once you’re a little calm, express your anger .
3. Get some exercise.
4. THINK BEFORE YOU SPEAK.
5. Identify solutions to your problem .
These steps can relieve anger, but if it doesn’t work, you can always squeeze a tennis ball, or talk to a trustworthy person.
