Rihanna’s Tell-Tale Interview on Oprah
On August 19, Rihanna opened up about the incident for the first time to Winfrey. In the 40 minute interview, Rihanna talked about her feelings towards Brown.
She talked to Oprah about how “It isn’t easy” to experience such a personal issue like that, especially because it was in front of the world. Many people’s opinions were brought into this controversial subject.
Junior Brennan Grein said, “[During the Rihanna and Chris Brown incident] I didn’t really take a side, because I didn’t really care about it.”
In my opinion, Rihanna was very much in the right to forgive Brown. It’s her life, and other than him, she is the only person who was actually there and knows what actually went on during that drive home. Everybody else just knows what they’ve been told.
Rihanna was with Brown for a long time before the incident, and it’s honestly not anyone’s business that she decides to forgive him. I took Rihanna’s side during the argument because I felt that she was the victim, and was not doing anything wrong.
Junior Dezarah Harminson said, “I think she did the right thing to forgive him. I don’t think she should hold a grudge against him because he was angry and made a mistake.”
I also believe Brown made a big mistake with letting his anger get the best of him, and I agree that Rihanna is right for forgiving Brown. The bottom line is Rihanna has the right to decide what she does with her life, no one else does.
In conclusion, the incident was a big thing in the entertainment world. But many people continue to have different opinions in the matter. Regardless, Rihanna and Brown are on the track to rebuilding their friendship and that’s all that matters.
