Osama Bin Laden Killed, News Spread Through Several Media Sources
Osama Bin Laden was a man that was hated throughout many countries. Bin Laden ran an organization called Al Qaeda, which is most commonly known for its terrorists attacks on 9/11 in New York.
The United Sates of America has been searching for Bin Laden for over 10 years now, always only being one step behind him. A few months ago, the US government believed it had found him residing in a facility in Pakistan. President Barack Obama later signed release forms for the Navy Seals to infiltrate the base and take immediate action. On May 2 the Navy Seals infiltrated Osama’s home and assassinated him.
A poll with students at Urbana High School about how they heard about the death of Bin Laden found the places they learned of the news first. Given the choices of Twitter, Facebook, Television and other, 12 out 55 chose Twitter, 10 chose Facebook, 17 chose Television and 16 chose the answer Other.
