UHS Weighs in on Favorite Holiday Movies
Top 10 Christmas Movies CE
Christmas is just around the corner, and what better way to celebrate it than with Christmas movies? Christmas movies are a great symbol of happiness and it brings family closer. TV networks love to get involve with the whole Christmas movie idea. TBS plays A Christmas Story for 24 hours, starting on Christmas Eve and ending on Christmas day. ABC Family does a countdown for “25 days of Christmas” where they play a Holiday/Family movie every night.
Yeah some of them aren’t that good, but it’s okay because it always gets us in the Holiday mood! Here’s a list of the Top 10 Christmas Movies, voted on by 57 UHS students. And you will also get my takes on the “Top Three” movies, and what I think about it.
#10: Muppets Christmas Movie 0%
#9: Jingle All the Way 1.75%
#8: Scrooged 1.75%
#7: Santa Clause 3.5%
#6: National Lampoons: Christmas Vacation 3.5%
#5: Miracle on 34th Street 7.1%
#4: Dr. Seuss How a Grinch Stole Christmas 14.3%
#3: Home Alone 19.3%
Home Alone is the ultimate adventure of a little boy who gets left behind at home as his family leaves for a Christmas vacation. As he battles the vicious villains who try and break into his home, he also learns that being an adult isn’t as fun as it seems. Great family fun!
#2: ELF 21.5%
Elf would have to be a Christmas classic as Buddy the Elf struggles to find his place in the North Pole because he’s not actually an elf. He sets off to search for his father and the movie is filled with funny scenes at every corner as Buddy the Elf goes down as a character to admire.
#1: A Christmas Story 28.7%
This in my opinion is the greatest Christmas movie, and obviously the rest thought so. A little boy who goes through a long path just to revive a Red Rider BB gun, and the famous the famous line “You’ll shoot your eye out” gives this movie to be named a UHS classic.
