UHS Has New Foreign Exchange Student
Many Urbana High School students have taken notice of the tall, blonde boy with eccentric socks strolling the hallways. This newcomer happens to be Swedish exchange student Tobias Annderson. To welcome Annderson to UHS and help students get to know him better, “The Echo” has compiled a personal profile of interesting information regarding our newest addition to the student body.

Hometown: Stockholm, Sweden
Mandy Facer: Why did you want to be a foreign exchange student?
Tobias Andersson: Because I think it’s fun and a great experience; it’s also good to learn English.
MF: How did you prepare to be an exchange student?
TA: I had to fill out paperwork and then interview for the position.
MF: What do you think is the most interesting thing about America?
TA: I think it’s strange that (they) don’t take showers after P.E..

MF: What do you miss the most about Sweden?
TA: I miss my friends a lot.
MF: What is your family like?
TA: I have one sister who is eighteen-years-old and my parents are serious and funny.
MF: What activities are you involved in at home?
TA: I play Handball, golf and like to hang out with my friends.
MF: What is your favorite class at Urbana High School?
TA: I don’t really like school, but Auto-Mechanics is fun. I also enjoy P.E. and Personal Development.
MF: What is an interesting fact about Sweden?
TA: We at healthier food with more taste and spices. We also don’t go out to eat as often as Americans.
MF: Anything you want UHS students to know about you?
TA: I’m a happy person and I like sports.
