Check Out the Cocoa Booth!
The Junior Class (class of 2011) has been very busy fundraising money this year. So far the class has sold candy bars, homemade goods at Tailgreat and t-shirts for Homecoming. This winter however, the Juniors are taking a new approach. “When we were brainstorming about winter fundraisers, the students had the great idea to sell hot cocoa!” said Erin Ludwick, the Junior Class sponsor. “This works well during a season when we can’t raise money through activities like car washes and outdoor concessions,” she said.
The cocoa booth is located inside the Athletic Doors. The Juniors sell hot cocoa with mini marshmallows before school and after sixth hour lunch. The cocoa is one dollar regular price, but students who bring their own cups get a fifty cent discount. The money from the hot cocoa will help fund the Red Carpet Affair Prom the class of 2011 is throwing on May 1, 2010.
The Junior class appreciates the business they’ve already gotten from students and has high hopes for profit in the future. “Sales are going well but we always would love more customers,” Ludwick said. Be sure to make your contribution before the fundraiser ends on December 11.

This was an awesome idea and a very persuading article! After reading this, I’ve come in and had your cocoa two days in a row. I like that this article has all of the information of an ad, but is much more than that. Plus, the cocoa is great too!
Sales were great! Thanks to Mandy for the article, and the entire Echo staff for such a great website!
