My Morning Jacket

My Morning Jacket is a slow, but still very catchy and tasteful alternative band. This band formed in 1998 in Louisville, Kentucky. Lead singer Jim James has a amazing silky soft voice. Jim James- Lead Guitar/Vocals (1998-Present), Tom Blakenship-Bass (2002-Present), Patrick Hallahan- Drums (2002-Present), Bo Koster- Keyboards & Layout (2004-Present), and last, but not least, Carl Broemel- Guitar (2004-Present). They have had 7 side projects total, and have done quite a number of remakes of songs by groups such as Bright Eyes, M. Ward, Calexcio, Kathleen Edwards,and Conner Oberst. They have produced 5 studio albums, 3 LIVE albums, 3 compilations (Chapter 1 and 2 Compilations released separately), 11 singles and EPs, and 6 DVD soundtrack songs.
